I ordered a Smith and Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ Performance Center Gold .380 ACP 3.8-inch 8Rds Ported Barrel. Will be at the FFL on Thursday. Being from Washington State because of I-1639 I now have to wait and unknown amount of time for our local police to approve my background check before I can get it. Used to be if you had a CCL you could pick it up right away, but they changed that.
Before you ask why I wanted one of these it was just because I wanted one!

I hope the local police think " just because I wanted one " is a valid enough reason to approve your application .
That I - 1639 thing sounds like it could be problematic.
Hope the unknown amount of wait time is not too long .

Got my Performance Center .380 EZ today. It works fine, but the gold grip safety is actually painful to shoot. It sticks out farther than my other EZ pistols. When completely depressed, the web of my thumb does not contact the back strap of the grip, and has a red mark on it after ten shots. I wonder if Smith would change it out for the regular grip safety.
