Is this older model also subject to frame cracking like the newer guns?

What is a fair price to pay in excellent condition?

A picture or a s/n would help establish age. The newer ones were built on a redesigned frame that was a lot stronger. Value is something in the $400 to $600 range, depending on condition, type of stocks, if there's a box and stuff, local factors, and how bad someone wants a nickel M38.
