This is an interesting gun, with a lot of history. These guns started out as DAO (Double Action Only) with the NYPD. They were returned to S&W and most of them were convereted to DA/SA. I will included the information that I gathered from the forum from RM Vivas that documents the history. The serial number for this gun is also on the "roles."
