My favorite gunshop has a 4556 .45 DAO for 399.00, I can probably get somewhat cheaper. Does anyone know much about this model? It is in about 90% condition. Is this priced right?

I used to have a 4586 that I truely loved, but like a dummy I traded it for something or other. This feels similar but smaller.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, GH

They made about 250 of that model, and I'd say that $399 is less than half what it's worth.
Just buy it.

Smart move...you'll have both a scarce and fine piece at a fair price...

I think I paid about $450.00 for mine LNIB a year or so ago...

Wish they'd have made a 1056!

That is a steal. I paid nearly twice that much when they were in production, 17 years ago.

The unwashed masses don't appreciate what they have, Kurt. I've picked up NIB 3rd Gen's recently for as little as $275.00.

Getting my LNIB 1046 with 3 magazines for $625.00 still takes the cake though...

As requested, here is a pic of my new toy. Does anyone know where to buy replacement factory grips for it? Also looking for mags.

Thanks, for the input, GH
