Smith & Wesson Magazine S&W 41, 422, 622, 2206 22 Long Rifle 10-Round Steel Blue

My backorder from MidwayUSA.com just shipped! The order was placed in January and today I received the confirmation that the magazines are on the truck. Nice to know that they are still available retail without having to pay double on ebay or gunbroker. Paid $22 + shipping with a seasonal discount.

The magazines I ordered from midway arrived today. Brand new and factory fresh. If you have a 41, 422, 622, or a 2206 and need magazines don't be afraid to backorder. It took a while but they certainly came through for me. Cheers.

Is Smith and Wesson still making 12 round magazines for the model
41. It seems like they are no longer available....

Pretty sure you will only find new 10rd magazines being manufactured by S&W. 12rd magazines surface every so often on the auction sites like ebay and gunbroker but I don't think the premium being asked is worth it for the extra 2 round capacity.

I just ordered one from Brownell's(in stock). I'm going to use it in my 2214.

I think that mag is going to stick out of a 2214. I think they have shorter mags.

WATCH OUT! Some of those 41 magazines may have a manufacturing problem

WARNING!
I just purchased model 41 magazines from my LGS. (Haven't been any there for six months!)
They would not fit all the way into the mag well in my 41 nor in my sweety Bruce's 422.

The buttons that ride in the slot on the sides of the mag were installed backwards.

We confirmed the issue by comparing to older mags we had.
I have been in email correspondence with S&W.
They said they would replace any defective magazines.
Bruce fixed the three we bought, so we don't have to send them back.
If you too know how to disassemble/reassemble a model 41/422 magazine, that's terrific.
If you don't, call or email S&W customer service and find out how to send your mags back.

We went back to the LGS who also got in touch with S&W.
The LGS pulled the "backwards" mags off the racks.

Also, for the magazines I'd purchased prior to these, also of recent manufacture, did not slide into the mag well easily.
Bruce had to hone down the welds on the sides so they'd slide smoothly in and eject properly.
The "vintage" magazines that came with the gun had no operational problems at all.
