Smith & Wesson pistol scope question

Hey does anyone know who made the S&W pistol scopes?

Can anyone give me an idea of the Quality level?

I believe they were made by Nikon. I don't own one but I understand that they were good scopes.

They also marketed a red dot.

It is so close to a match for my Ulta Dot scopes I'm guessing it was made by them to S&W specs.

I have a 2X and it's okay but it has thick cross hairs and a narrow field of view. It looks great on my 17-6 , but my Tasco 1x4 world class is better .
