While looking for guns that were either not there or priced crazy I found the below survival knife and bought it apparently as a consolation prize. No hollow handle with fishhooks and matches like Rambo, but it seems nice for around the house cutting boxes, cord, whittling and seems sharp enough. Some online reviews were disappointing for hunting use. Anyome here have any views on this knife? Thank you!

Sadly, this board is a ghost town, and S&W branded knives just aren't very popular elsewhere, so finding accurate information on them can be tricky.

Most of Smith & Wesson's knives seem to be derivatives of existing designs, and yours is no exception, as it looks similar to a lot of knives, most notably the old WWII Ka-Bar Marine Fighting Knife and the Buck 119, both of which have good reputations, so a derivative design ought to be good as well.

I know this is an old thread and you've probably formed your own opinion by now, but I just figured I'd drop in and reply since I'm currently lurking this derelict old dungeon myself.
