Smith You Most Recently Fired?

This past Thurs. evening my retired SC Trooper brother and another good friend played double action combat shooting on silhoutte targets @ 20 yards. We used our tuned model 19's. Great guns still!

I had to take my grips off and tighten the strain screw a bit. I had not fired the gun double action since tuning it and had a few mis-fires. I had fired it probably a couple hundred times single action without incident.

Before someones asks, NO I havent depended on it as a defensive weapon. Needless to say I should have tried it double action before now because one never knows when unforeseen circumstances might dictate the use of any handgun in one's safe. My bad !!! Oh well it's corrected now.

SW Fired

It was today. Model 617 6 in ss bbl.

I recently put on a set Of Ahrends retro target round to square butt conversion. This made the gun more shootable and I really enjoy this
gun with those grips. The grips are dark cocobola. See them on

My EDC M&P40c.

I was trying out some new ammo, I'll be staying away from Blazer. Horrible accuracy, I used up all but one of my Hydra-Shoks defending the honor of the gun and myself.

On the plus side, as I was ordering more I also scored some Win Ranger SXT's. I can't wait to try those out, I've been trying to find some for months.

I love Knob Creek Range, But not for shooting!!
I live about 5 miles from KCR & drive 50+ miles to Henryville Indiana to the FREE public range there..
Kenny & Jr. have a great place there in West Point, I go there for the Machine Gun Shoot & Worlds Largest Military Gunshow held twice yearly & sometimes just go bye to see the inventory + go by Biff's Gunworld on the way to see Jr.

Last S&Ws shot were my 940 547 & 3913NL last Friday afternoon in Henryville..
There were guys picking up my spent auto brass before I even got up from the table & one "Stupid Old Guy" was walking in front of me to get my brass.. While the range was HOT..
I put an end to it by screaming at them & said anything left after I leave is yours, Now get out of my way so I can shoot, These same people were doing the same to my buddy who was at the next table down as well..
They were like vultures scavenging for the brass???
They were even picking up my spent 22lr auto brass too..
Must be selling it...
I saved all my spent revolver brass & dumped it in a huge freezer bag & even got asked twice If I was going to keep that??
That's the only time this has ever happened at this range..

Anyway had a great time except for the "Brass Pickers"

fired both my m+p .38's, my high standard junk .22, my 1911 colt.45 and my savage model 90 .22 today. have not gotten my k22 home yet, just have to get to the county courthouse this week to get it on my permit. had a good time today shooting with an old friend.

My father and I went to the range last weekend when I went up home to visit. We both had our most recent acqusitions.

I finally shot my 5" 27-2 and he had a Remington Rand 1911-A1 that he traded into. The 27 shot like a dream with 158gr .38s and I also put two dozen full house Federal 158 mags down her. The 1911 is actually the first GI .45 that I've ever shot.

I moved back near Pittsburgh a little over a year ago, so I can have as many more of those kind of afternoons as time will allow.

My Model 14 in the club's spring D/A revolver league. Had some problems with light hits until I replaced the strain screw, which wasn't a good match for the mainspring in that gun.

now i don't care who you are, that's funny!

Please don't encourage him.

Sir, at my most recent range session, I shot my K-22 and 624.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Model 65 no lock, four inch gun, a couple of weeks ago. I found it in a Gun and Pawn Shop and ended up paying $285.00 for it. The gun is in 95% or better condition and there was no box or papers with it.

Last one I fired was my 686 CS-1 which I shot yesterday. Ran a box of .38 +P and a box of .357 through it. Good fun.

Checked some handloads in a M1917. It didn't like them. I think it was the 230 gr RN Lyman bullets it didn't like.

Before that, a practice sesssion last month with my 638, as fast as I could get it on target from a holster at 7 yds.. It sure was fun.

I recently fired my 686 4" (No dash) and 66-2 4"
at my local range. Fired 150rds of my 158gr swc reloads.
