Anyone use a Sneaky Pete holster . I have thought about getting one for my XD9 or Bersa thunder. Worried a bit that it might be to obvious though. IT does look handy and a quick draw as well.

I was in Cavenders about a week ago and there was a guy that had a Sneaky Pete holster on his right side and his cell phone on his left side. You could see the Sneaky Pete emblem on the holster. There is no doubt about it being obvious but looks like it certainly has it place in the carry world. I started to ask him what he thought about the holster but thought better of it because that was not the proper place.

The Sneaky Pete question has been brought before and was met with mixed reviews. I, to look into using the SP, but after making a cardboard model decided against it. If you have not seen one up close and/or it is not available to look at, I would suggest making a model. For what it is worth the quality of the product appears to be first cabin.
Good Luck with your choice. I went with the Romora IWB holster.

If I had one I'd consider placing a decal over the front, something like one from Microsoft, or AT&T, making it look more like a mobile device. Concealment can mean making something "not visible" or "unrecognizable".

Just like CC fanny packs, the Sneaky Pete is only going to be recognized as a CC holster by other people who carry and SOME LEO that frequent firearms forums. The 'SP' logo could mean anything for those who don't carry. The Sneaky Pete seems fine for .380 and smaller, but a bit out of place for Subcompact 9s.
My Wife looked into the Sneaky Pete, but ended up going with the Remora.

Not a SP fan - too large for a cell phone and so too many people might be curious as to what's inside. Too easily opened and have contents stolen. Too awkward IMHO.

I'd go with Pocket Carry if no other means are suiting to your dress, lifestyle and work. I did ankle carry for 5 years but finally got fed up with it and the slow ability to ready the gun. If you have something like a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster (really good) and a M60, 36, 37, 637, etc. you should be GTG.

IMHO out of sight = out of mind! With a SP holster you'll always be self conscious wondering if people know or are curious what's inside.

There is nothing sneaky about the SP.

Pocket or ankle works for small enough guns. I prefer ankle as the pocket draw is very awkward for me and it is less comfortable.

For anything over a five shot revolver or 380 mousegun IWB is the best option.

We have one for a taurus PT738. I carry it in a pocket holster, the wife uses the sneaky pete. No problems as of yet, and it works real well for her.

I wouldn't get one. They are too obvious. It would just invite questions. I'd be getting asked by my techie friends what I've got in there.

I friend of mine has one, I think it looks pretty big, but he likes it.

Pretty big? It looks like a small back pack that slid sideways, or half a set of saddlebags! :D

I had never seen one till you posted the pictures, and can't imagine wearing that in public without being asked about five times an hour what's in the damn thing.

Yeah, that thing is GIGANTIC! Whoa...I gave it some consideration, but now that I've seen it in the picture I can defintely say it's way too big to be practical.
