I just received my order from SNS Casting this morning.I bought 1K of their new 9mm 135 gr. coated bullets. Man, these look great. I, hoping these will allow me to load a longer O.A.L. in my CZ 75 B. I think I'll be heading down to the "man cave" and start setting up for these beauty's later on this morning.I will keep you posted on my findings.

Try DG bullets for 135gr rn coated, summers too. Once you go to coated, I doubt you go back to conventional lubed.

Be sure to bell the case mouth a little more. I find the coating soft and will pull lead up around case mouth and cause malfunctions at the range if you don't catch it.

I just finished running 32 rounds on the Dillon SDB. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so I'm looking forward to a range session. These bullets load easy.It only took two days to get delivered to my door. That's one reason I chose them, they are located in Illinois and I live in Indiana.I bought one of those Double Alpha powder funnels and I'm very happy with it. It makes seating the bullets a dream. The OAL's vary just a couple of thousandths.

I've always had good luck with SNS. The coating is pretty tough too when compared to cast bullets. Below is a pic of a bullet I flattened with a hammer and the coating remained intact.

The 135gr bullet does well in my 3" and 6" 9mm's.

Many company's list a OAL of 1.12" with one listing a short 1.075" and another with a long 1.16".

My 6" will swallow the long 1.16" OAL but my 3" pistol needs the short 1.10"
for it to work well in feeding.........

however a short 1.10" OAL might not work out with bulky Alliant flake powders for full power loads.

On a more serious note, the limiting factor on OAL is going to be whether the loaded round will fit and work in your magazine as well as in your chamber. Don't forget the former or the latter won't matter!

Do you find the cz75s to have a short lead to the rifling? Just got one and just started casting 9mm. Ammo I had made up for a sig and a hi power have too long an oal. Figured I'd ask since the first post mentioned a cz75.

Yes, my CZ 775 B has a short lead. I started with a 124 grain TC Hi tek coated bullet and the longest OAL that would plunk was 1.1. I used the Hogdon load data and the new bullets and loaded them to 1.150. By the way, I went to the range this morning and ran the 32 rounds I loaded yesterday. They ran perfect. Loaded in the mag like a champ, fed without a hitch and went "boom" 32 times !!!!Looks like SNS Castings will get all my "bullet money".

Good info, I only have some 115 RN from mastercast in Pa. to play with oal but they're running low. Just waiting on a safety from cajun gun works and I'm going to run this sp01 until the wheels fall off.

Coated bullets are the way to go nowadays if you want cleaner shooting. It is still hard for me to ignore those classic Lyman molds and their bullets...yes, they can be coated too!
