For sale is a mid-1941 production civilian M&P in .38 Special. That is the regular ".38 Special" not the .38 S&W. Revolver is in very nice condition except the grips which are beat up but certainly serviceable. I have seen nice, correct grips available on Ebay. The bore and rifling are in excellent condition as are the chambers of the cylinder. Everything locks up pretty tight and functions as it should. has the slightest bit of end shake but I have shot it and it functions excellent and is very accurate. I'm probably UNDER describing it very much as I am more of a Colt than a Smith guy (although the finish on these Smiths is very drool worthy!). I don't think too many Civilian models were being shipped in 1941. Seems most were going to the Canadian Military. This was just before the Victory models. Darn nice piece though!
