WWII aviation buffs, here's another chance to own a unique piece of American history! I'm selling my last autographed mahogany model of the Tuskegee "Red Tail" P-51Ds flown during WWII. I had this model autographed by Lt Col Herbert Carter (one of the original 33 Tuskegee Airmen) around 2005 while at officer training. I previously had another one autographed by four of the famous fliers and wanted to get another one. Lt Col Carter was my last chance. All the gentlemen have since passed away. Included is a nice little pamphlet telling the history of the Tuskegee fliers. This model is great for display and as a conversation piece. Scale is 1/24 so that makes for an 18" wingspan.
I’m selling as this just sits in the box in the closet and I don’t have a place to display. Besides, my kids want to play with it and that’s not going to happen.
