Sold! FS: 638 dash nothing, pre MIM as new in box

I acquired this 638 from the estate of a friend & S&W collector a few years back. He had a number of J frames that were daily use pieces but this is an as-new safe queen. It appears unfired but I cannot guarantee that. Documents & box insert show oil stains. Fitted with Altamont boot grips at the factory with a Special Order notation on the box.
