I'm helping my good friend John, a retired Virginia conservation officer, sell his beautiful, complete in the factory original case Hammerli 280. This Olympic grade competition pistol is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and has a conversion unit enabling the shooter to switch to .32 S&W Long on the same frame in just minutes.

The set is complete in the original factory case and includes the frame, the .22 slide and barrel assembly, the .32 slide and barrel assembly, 2 magazines in each caliber, extra barrel weights, a factory optical scope mount, complete tool kit, factory-supplied cleaning tools, and test targets, each one comprised of 5 shots fired at a distance of 25 meters.

There are a few scuffs but no gouges on the outside of the factory case, and as you can see, the foam in the inside top of the case has deteriorated. That is an easy fix.

The pistol itself and its major components are lightly used. I see no scratches, dings, scuffs or other signs of poor handling on any of the components, including the magazines. Mechanically, the pistol appears to be in perfect condition and functions properly (e.g., no extraction or ejection problems).

Despite its size, the pistol is relatively light because its major components including the frame and barrel shroud, and the barrel weights, are made of carbon fiber. I found that it balances well in my hand when my arm is fully extended. The ergonomic European style right hand target stocks have an adjustable heel plate and fit my small to medium hand perfectly. The trigger group, which many people feel is the best Hammerli ever produced, is fully adjustable, and I believe that the pistol comes with interchangeable front sight blades.

The price for this high-water mark of Swiss target pistol development is $1,750 plus insured shipping to your FFL. We will accept personal or cashiers' checks, or direct bank wire transfers; no money orders will be accepted. All Forum rules and Federal and state, as well as common carrier, laws, regulations, and tariffs apply. Please PM me with questions or offers, and thanks for looking!
