I have decided to offer this as new, Model 39-2 for sale.
I bought this 8 years ago. The story was that the owner was an elderly gent whose brother worked for a Smith & Wesson distributor and gave him several guns. The owner was not a shooter and years later sold these to a pawn shop with whom I have done business for years. When the gun arrived at my dealer, we both thought it was too nice to shoot. I have never shot it, and I don't believe it has ever been shot since leaving the factory.
The factory letter says it shipped to a Miami, FL distributor.
Included is the box, two original magazines, the original paperwork, and the cleaning kit. The original of the factory letter will also convey
This gun should go to someone who wants one for their collection rather than lanquishing in the bottom of my safe.
