Back in 1964, I bought a new, Remington Nylon 76 “Trail Rider” lever action .22.
People collecting the Remington Nylon 22’s know that the Model 76 Lever and the Smooth Bore are the most difficult to find, the Holy Grail. Its only had 10 shots through it. My friend was a gunsmith and had his own rifle range that I could use. When he saw me shooting the Nylon 76, he said STOP ! He said the Nylon Guns would never catch on, and many years in the future they would be highly sought after by collectors. As a young kid in 1964, I took his advice, cleaned the Nylon 76 and put in my gun cabinet, never to be shot again !
With that said, my Remington Nylon 76, “Trail Rider” is now up for sale. Other than the 1 magazine shot in 1964, Its like it just was shipped from Remington. The Nylon Stocks are blemish free. The bluing is near perfect in all respects save a couple weenie tiny freckles on the receiver. Not a mark on the butt plate or grip cap that has “Remington Nylon 76”. I no longer have the box, manual or hanging tag. I believe the box and contents were lost when we moved in the late 80’s. I don’t know what else to say in a description, other that like new, pictures will bear that out.
I am asking $900.00 SHIPPED payable by USPS Money order or TRADE. And I would rather make a TRADE for one of the following; Sako Riihimaki .22lr heavy barrel or Sako L46, L57, L61r caliber’s?. Please no Mannlicher Stocked Sako’s. It will be insured for the full sale price. If we make a trade, you ship yours, I ship mine. Rifles in trade must go FFL to FFL no exceptions.
Anyone wanting more or Hi Res pictures of the Nylon 76, please PM and I will email you a bunch that totally cover the Nylon 76. If you want a picture of something close up…please ask. Check my FEEDBACK in the feed back forum, my feed back is impeccable. You must also have good feedback.
