**SOLD LOCALLY**Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 27 .357 Magnum 6 1/2″ Nickel**SOLD LOCALLY**
Built in 1955 on the five screw N-frame, this very scarce original nickel Pre-Model 27 .357 Magnum is equipped with a 6-1/2 inch barrel, pinned Patridge blade front sight, target hammer, target trigger, and checkered walnut diamond Magna grips. A surprisingly tough to find configuration .357 Magnum! The serial number is S131XXX. I have seen only three examples of this configuration in the past 10 years, with the one previous to this selling for more than $3,800 on GB two years ago, as I recall.
The gun is in excellent overall condition, the original nickel finish is bright and clear with only the very barest, nearly undetectable hint of wear at the muzzle and some minor scattered handling evidence here and there. The checkered walnut diamond Magna grips are every bit as crisp and sharp as the gun itself. While period correct, they do not number to the gun. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the gun functions perfectly mechanically. An absolutely gorgeous specimen of Smith & Wesson design and craftsmanship at its best. No disappointments!
The price is $2,750, which includes insured shipping to your FFL. I am open to various payment options; the gun will not ship until funds have been received, deposited, and cleared. No trades. All Forum rules, and Federal, as well as any applicable state and local laws and regulations, apply. The first "I'll take it," followed by a confirmatory PM, gets the gun. PM me with any questions.
**SOLD LOCALLY**
I will be posting some new and better photos soon showing the original Magnas. The above photo shows the revolver fitted with a pair of Grashorns, which are not for sale.
