Sold. Here we have an extremely rare Smith and Wesson model 60 no dash 2 in snubbie with a square butt. From what I have researched only about 1000 of these exist and were made for the large SW dealer the famous John Jovino police supply shop in New York that was seen in the movie Serpico. Several reports articles say that only a few hundred in 2 in sq butts were manufactured. Even though it may not be as concealable, it feels very good in your hand and it feels better balanced with the square butt. There is no box or papers but again try to find one for sale anywhere and you will see how scarce these really are. Also this 2 in version is much more rare than the 3 in version. The gun is in great shape top to bottom. There are just a few handling marks but no damage and the piece shows well. The barrel is perfect, cylinder is tight and the wood grips have no damage.
Description for one that sold years ago for 1125.00 "Built in 1984 as part of a special order for John Jovino under product code 102303. This rare Model 60 is equipped with a 2″ barrel and square butt grip. The square butt frame was only used for one year in 1984 with a 2″ barrel and for one year in 1988 with a 3″ barrel. A highly sought after J-frame variation this is rather difficult to acquire."
775.00 delivered to FFL holder, put I'll take it if the first 24 hours it sells. I am in Ga, will not ship to Ca.
