I have been semi-on the lookout for both a 696 (L-frame 5-shot 44 special) and a 49 or 649 (J-frame hump pack with hammer stub) for some time and stumbled across both of them in the last week.
The 696 is a no-dash, meaning no Hillary Hole and no MIM parts. It is in very clean shape, timed correctly, with original box but no documents or accessories.
The 649 is also in good shape, timed correctly, no Hillary Hole, no box or accessories.
I snagged them both. I would rather have had a 49, but the stainless steel has some advantages too, plus I have a Tyler Grip Adapter laying around in aluminum for a J-frame, so......
In any event once they get out of CA gun jail I will take them out for some exercise. Will post range report and photos when available. The 696 has already cleared DOJ, the 649 just hit the shelf so I can't even DROS it until after 01-01-25.
Merry Christmas To Me, Merry Christmas To Me, etc.
