This is nothing new but I'd venture to say many who own a M41 have never checked or looked for this . It takes 2 seconds to "fix" and I just wanted to mention it.
When you field strip your M41 to clean and or lubricate it, check to see if the trigger return spring (torsion spring) is in the U shaped "notch"it is supposed to sit in. There are circumstances such as trigger weight adjustments or cleaning that could pop it out of that U shaped keeper. Since this spring also adjusts the pull weight from 1.75 - 2.75 pounds by moving the sawtooth adjuster, it could impact the trigger pull weight if the spring has popped out of the notch. It is easily just put back in with a pair of tweezers and should stay there, however it can easily pop out sometimes while moving the "sawtooth" trigger weight adjuster.
I just wanted to alert those here who were unaware of that issue. next time you have your M41 apart, just take a flashlight and look to make sure the spring is sitting in its proper U shaped notch. If you do adjust the trigger, check it again before reassembling the pistol.
