Hopefully this will be fun and interesting.

Remember a line from a song? Any song? Doesn't have to be a favorite. Maybe something you heard at a special time or something you heard over and over again until you got sick of it. Don't have to name the artist. Part of the fun will be guessing or remembering the song and the artist.:)

Here's a few of mine:

"Sundown you better take care if I find you been creepin round my back stairs"

"And I carry it with me like my daddy did"

"When you comin son, I don't know when"

"How long has this been going on?"

First one was Gordon Lightfoot. "Sundown".
Second one Something like "Movin' me down the Highway".
Third "Cat's in the cradle", Harry Chapin.
Fourth one is the title of the song, but can't remember the artist.
Jim

here's mine...
Lips that are weary but tender
With love that strengthens my life
A saint in a dress made of gingham

I know the third one on your list. First and last are familiar, too, but I can't place them exactly.
So can I add a couple?

"Sleepin' 'til the crack of noon Midnight howlin' at the moon"

"I talk to the wind and my words are all carried away"

- "Yes sir, Officer Obie, I cannot tell a lie. I put
that envelope under that garbage."

- "So I called up the Captain,
Please bring me my wine. He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"

- "So you ride yourselves over the fields and
you make all your animal deals and
your wise men don't know how it feels, to be thick as a brick."

From Robert Earl Keen's Shades of Gray

We had some moonshine whiskey
And some of Bob's homegrown
We were so messed up, we didn't know
If we were drunk or stoned.

"And I'm telling you son, it ain't no fun staring straight down a forty-four ..."

"If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you in the next one ... don't be late."

"Feel ... ings ... Nothing more than feel ... ings." :)

Gimme back, gimme back my bullets....
Oh put em' back where they belong...
Ain't foolin' around cause i done had my fun...
Ain't gonna see no more damage done.....
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets......
