Any of you people use a sonic cleaner for your black powder brass? If so, how does it work. Also does anyone make their own cleaning solution and if so what do you make it with?
Thanks for any info

I have not tried it with black powder but see no reason why it would not work. I have had good luck with a simple recipe of 4 parts distilled water with 1 part white vinegar and some dish soap. I have tried adding salt and I have tried adding Lemi Shine and have had worse results with them than without. With salt my brass seems to get a tarnished look. With Lemi Shine if you are not careful you can get some pink shade to your brass. I rinse towel dry and in the toaster oven on some heavy duty aluminum foil for 15 min at 200° and they are dry.

Dry media tumblers and sonic cleaners are old school. The new cats meow are the wet tumblers with stainless pins. They clean the inside, outside and primer pockets if you decap first. Did I mention they are quite as well, they do make some nice but its actually kind of pleasant, like a swooshy ocean sound.
