Sorry, Two Stupid Questions New At This

Is the MP15-22 an AR15 or M4 style rifle that exclusively shoots the 22 Cal round? What is average dealer price for the gun, and are they available?. I have two new AR-15 S&W X models 233 cal. that I have not had a chance to shoot. I recently qualified with the Department's Sheriff 3 day course using Bushmaster Dep't issued rifles. Should I expect any problems with my own M&P AR's or are all the threads on the 15-22 strictly related to issues with that gun?

No such thing as a stupid question...well there is . but yours isnt one of them..The M&P15-22 is an exclusive .22 rifle...Avg price , I dont think there is one right now... shop around, ck GunBroker.com yes they are available, I doubt that you will have problems with your S&W 5.56 AR rifles.. I am sure there are many more individuals , that can shed more light on this subject...The early .22s seemed to have some teething issues......I understand most have been rectified.

the problems with the 15-22s are with the upper which is different than the ar platform the lowers uses most of the same parts but the uppers r totally different... prices right now are ranging from 399 to 569 so shop around... got a friend that has a few left for 450 if your interested i can get you a number

If you qualify for the LEO discount, you can get one for somewhere in the $370 range.

While the 15-22 looks like an MP15, the uppers and lowers do not interchange. Stocks, triggers will interchange.

The problems on the forum for the most part involve the 15-22. (But since I don't own a M&P 15, I have not read threads with any of their problems)
