Buddy has a revolver he just got that has a different spring kit - main spring and rebound - looks like Wolff
He found the original mainspring in a parts bag but he’s getting light strikes on this model 15.

All I can find online is third party spring kits

Does anyone know of a source of original factory rebound springs?

He wants to return it to factory original and not deal with Wolff or Wilson kits - he won’t say why but his gun his opinion

Update - turns out he hasn’t even shot it! So went over to visit and take a look. He said light primer strikes and I ask “If you haven’t fired it yet then how the heck do you come with light primer strikes!?” Then he clarified
The trigger is mushy and I sometimes lock it up when dry firing so assumed light hits

So I pull the side plate
They strain screw is fine
I see the Wolff mainspring
Pull the rebound spring with my handy dandy tool and I think I see the problem
The spring looks like a previous owner clipped off two springs

So looks like I just need to replace the rebound spring!

PM on its way and thanks

Most of the usual suppliers like Numrich, Brownells or Midway, have the springs on backorder. I didn't check Ebay.

I would suggest he call S&W Customer Service to obtain a factory rebound spring.
If he calls the factory, be sure he knows that they will want to have his serial number and model number at the time of the call. Customer Service: 1-800-331-0852

Although it's fine to restore the parts to factory original, the factory rebound slide spring will not remedy his light strike issues.

If he is unable to find a factory rebound spring, send me his address in a PM, and I'll send him one. I have dozens of them just waiting for a new home.
