Gov. Kristi Noem signed, or will sign bill authorizing permitless concealed carry. Residents will still be able to purchase a permit to enhance reciprocity rights/options in other states.
Congrats to South Dakota. But once again I find myself a little envious. We have been constitutional carry for any resident of any state since our constitution was written, so we are unable to take advantage of reciprocity agreements. And I don't think I'll live to see the day every state becomes constitutional carry.
This is good news. As more states that go permitless, it weakens anti gun arguments that doing so will will result in mass, random shootings - because they will not increase.
