After last season's trials by staking I found a nice piece of fencing to tie off Marianna's maters. Now to figure out an intelligent method to prune. Carrots, radish, cabbage and lettuce along with 3 vine and 2 bush tomatoes. Small raised bed and learn as we go. Hope others south of I4 are having success with their efforts.

Quick question, still trying to recognize a leader from a lateral before they get too big but the vines are starting to produce nicely, should I cut off the branch just past the fruit cluster?

Nice! Up here in the PNW it's cold, wet, and gloomy. Not much going on in the garden. Just soil building.

We moved here 17 months ago and we haven't had a back yard big enough or covered by tree canopies in 12 years until now. Ruthie wants a large vegetable garden this spring as do I. Logan will be the tiller man.

At present my plants are warmly tucked in the laundry room.
