I saw a Spanish Destroyer Cabine in 9mm Largo. Seems to be
in good working order. Are these of good enough to rebarrel to
7.63 Mauser or something similar with same case head? I've
had a couple of them that I took on trade in years past, but I
don't think I've ever fired one. Maybe a good and easy conversion
to 9mm Luger. Anyone fooled around with one of these.

I had one back in the 80's when they were being imported cheap. Had picked up a Super B pistol in the Largo chambering, and a couple cases of inexpensive ammo, so bought the matching rifle.

No idea about re-chambering them, but they don't strike me as a particularly strong action. I played around with mine for a while, then sold it, as it was not particularly accurate. Kept the Super B though - A very well made handgun.

Had several of the Star Super B pistols, and a friend had a Destroyer Carbine. The Stars got a study diet of 38 super+P. The carbine did just fine with it, however those rifles are now 50-65 years old. 223 brass is close enough to 9mm Luger to make cases for Largo or 30 Mauser/7.63x25 out of, but for either you will need to thin the "neck" area. I found reaming to be easier than turning! I don't remember if a 30 Mauser will fit in a Destroyer magazine. Ivan

One gag is to rechamber for 9x19 using an insert made from a cutoff piece of 9mm case. Not sure of the longevity of this mod.;)
