Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new pistol.
Do you have a question about spare magazine carry?

Sorry, I thought I had edited the post. Yes, I work in the auto service field and I carry an XDs 45. I'm in a variety of positions as you can imagine when working on auto's. The XDs is 5+1 and I would like know if any of you carry a spare mag and what works best .

Thanks again,

Tim

Right now I carry a spare mag in my off-side back pocket, but I'm having 0Nine Holsters make me an IWB double mag pouch for me.

I carry my Shield in leather OWB at about 9:30 - 10:00 RH crossdraw, and a double leather mag holder right behind.

If I chose to carry only six rounds in my primary gun, I would definitely carry a reload (or a second gun, a New York reload), and for a pistol I would make the reload a hi-cap mag if possible.

I have found the Remora single mag carrier to be comfortable and convenient, ready for IWB anywhere you want. It is too wide, especially for a single stack mag. I am cutting mine down and re-sewing it.

Gun on right hip, mag in left front pocket. Not as fast as mag carrier, but if the poo is approaching the fan that rapidly I will be trying like hell to find cover anyway to buy more time.

I carry a 9c and when I do carry a spare it's in an old cell phone case.

When I worked in the shop, my carry gun would be in the top drawer of the tool box. Can't imagine crawling around carrying while working on a car. (retired now, so that's not a problem anymore).
