There have been several threads recently about muzzle brakes. For the most part, I've never been a muzzle brake kinda guy, always had flash suppressors, but I finally took the plunge and am glad for it. I did a lot of research, watched a lot of video, read a lot of reviews, and that lead me to purchase a Lantac Dragon. A buddy and I went up the hill after work just to plink a little, as well as to see how the Dragon performed.
From my point of view, the Lantac Dragon does exactly what it is purported to do. It does reduce recoil, it really reduces muzzle rise, the muzzle flash is what it is, and we all go into this understanding brakes are a bit louder. Two out of three ain't bad.
The Lantac Dragon isn't cheap, but all things considered is a good value for what you get. There are a number of fine folks here who preach "buy once, cry once", and if you are inclined to add a muzzle brake, follow that sage advise. I'm not advocating buying the most expensive device out there, but buy quality. You'll thank yourself later.
Here's several short video clips of my friend, who's fairly new to ARs, and I checking out the Lantac Dragon. Two of them were done about dusk so you can see the muzzle flash. The grin on Brandon's face says it all.

Sorry, the video quality isn't the greatest. Well, there you go, my opinion, enjoy.
