Speed Loader for 29-3

I just got my "new to me" 29-3. I have two other S&W and use Safariland's speed loaders which I like. Safariland has a COMP I speed loader sized (Group 2 - J-S5) for the Model 29 but on other forums people are saying it won't work with the Model 29.

Can some one who has actually tried one let me know if they work.

Attached is a pix of my Model 29. I think a speed loader will work with my grips.

I only have experience with HKS speedloaders.They will not work with football targets.This is the reason the factory offered the speedloader cut out target stocks on most of its models in the early 1980's.

Txs! I suspected that the grips would be the issue. I love the grips too much to change 'em!

The correct stocks for that gun would be the speed loader version.Wouldnt hurt to pick up a set just to have.I agree with you on those football targets you have now,they almost look like the very late Rosewood the factory offered as a packaged set. That latter wood was not the nice as the Bahia,but still very nice.
