SOLD PENDING FUNDS*

I have for sale a Para Ordnance Black Watch Companion (CX745S) LDA pistol complete with matching factory box, two (2) factory original 7-round Para magazines (single stack), operator's manual, factory lock and instructional DVD. This gun belongs to my dad and I am listing it for him.

This is a .45ACP caliber gun and it has had around 500 factory-loaded rounds fired through it. It is in excellent mechanical condition, though it does show plenty of normal holster wear as it was used as a carry gun for several months a couple of years ago.

At one time, the grip safety was pinned down on this gun, a common modification on 1911 pistols. The pins have since been removed. I took close-up pictures of the pin holes on both sides of the frame.

For those of you not familiar with the Para LDA handguns, these use a traditional 1911 style design, but they are double-action only. The LDA designation actually stands for "Light Double Action", and they boast, arguably, the best double-action trigger on the market. This gun also sports Para's 3.5" fully-supported Match Grade barrel, a "bobbed" hammer, dual recoil spring system, Para's Power Extractor system, and a sharp two-tone color scheme with a olive drab (OD) frame, and Parkarized slide and hammer. It comes equipped with the standard 3-dot combat sights and Para wood grip panels. This gun has a 7+1 ammunition capacity, though 8 round magazines are available.

My dad is asking $600.00 (NEW PRICE as of 03/08/11 - $550.00) for the gun. List price is around $950 and he paid $885 for this in 2009. He will require an FFL transfer to whomever the new owner will be and will split the cost of the transfer fee if there is any. He would like to sell this in-state (Missouri), but will make arrangements with an out of state buyer to ship from his FFL to yours for the actual shipping costs with each person being responsible for FFL fees on their end. He will also consider any reasonable offers.

In-state buyers: payment must be in cash - NO CHECKS, NO MONEY ORDERS, AND NO PAYPAL.

Out of state buyers: Payment by personal check or Post Office money order only. He will hold the firearm until the check or money order clears at HIS bank. Could take a week (or more) from the time he receives it. Once your payment clears, the gun will be shipped through his FFL.

This gun is in my possession and I can make it available to someone if they want to test fire it. Any questions can be asked of me, and if I don't have the answer, I will contact my dad and get the answer ASAP.

To anyone interested: An "I'll take it" will give you first dibs at this gun on this forum, provided that it hasn't already been sold on one of the other sites it's listed on. I will make every effort to update this thread IMMEDIATELY if this gun sells on a different site.

Pictures are below and I have intentionally left them large so as to show plenty of detail:

Feel free to send me a PM with any reasonable offers and I will get in touch with my dad ASAP. This gun will be listed on a couple of other sites. First $550.00 (obo) takes it. Thanks for looking!
