Just for clarification, Ive noticed several 15-22's on here running them, Im looking at the car-1. Is there any modifications needed to install it? My barrel is already threaded, Im thinking it just threads on and im done, Am I wrong?... Was getting ready to order one and wanted to make certain...

As long as its threaded 1/2 x 28 you're good to go!

Yes. I had one. If you get the one with the laser engraving and want to have it line up on the side, you'll need to get the washer kit. It has multiple washers of different thickness. You'll just have to play around with it.

You'll also want to make sure to SECURE YOUR BARREL when you remove your flash hider!!! Torquing on the barrel could cause real damage to your upper receiver.

So there is a washer kit available? Hadnt seen that, good to know, are they something special or can the same washers be picked up at a hardare store?.. And yeah, I plan on clamping the barrel in a vise..

I thinks it's called an alignment kit. Spikes sells it as do others.

I cut my own out of a thin rubber sheet I found in my garage. You could use a rubber patch or an old inner tube.
