OK I found a real good deal on a Spike's Tactical Battle Trigger Set. It is plated in nickel-boron and supposed to be a good thing. I was looking to replace the poly FCG in my New Frontier Lower, it has given me no problems, I just want to replace it with metal. And saw this FCG and liked the price. I think I will put this in the CyberSport with an Alpha Romeo spring kit and move the Sports FCG and AR spring kit to the New Frontier.
Does anyone have any experience with this FCG and if so what did you think. I am not looking for a 2 stage competition trigger I just want a smooth, crisp trigger pull and I like the Alpha Romeo springs I have been running in the CyberSport enough to get another set for the New Frontier. :)

I have one, and it's just a stock trigger with a different coating. If you're going to spend money on a new FCG, you can do better. Look for the Geissele SSA trigger.

I basically was wanting an inexpensive stock trigger, it seems that the parts dealers are pretty proud of their trigger groups. Someday when I build my 20" or 24" serious long range shooter I will invest in a nice trigger as it is it is just going to replace the plastic FCG in my New Frontier Lower,,actually it is going into my Sport Lower and the one in my Sport lower is going into the New Frontier. I dont really have any complaints about the FCG in the New Frontier other than it is some kind of molded material other than metal. It shoots fine, I am afraid to try to polish it to smooth it up. they call it their accu-group composite fire control system and they claim 4.5lbs of trigger pull. It may be true and I have had no failures with it but I have a thing about metal hammers and triggers. The Spikes is in stock (which is a biggie) and economical (another biggie). So it is a coated stock style trigger, cool I may just put it in the New Frontier. Thanks

The SSA from Geissele is essentially a stock trigger that's been massaged by Geissele. It's still a single action trigger, but it's a lot smoother. On the other hand, I have no complaints about my Spike's FCG. :)

I saw it, it was a little more expensive like $20 but it wasnt in stock. I have it set to notify me when they come back in stock so I can get one for the cyber Sport.

Midway has the ALG Defense Combat trigger in stock fo $65. I bought mine there with a few things that put me over $100 so i could use a 15% coupon code.

I would guess that a ssa by Geissele is considerably better, but i like this for the money. When I was shooting, I never thought about the trigger, so I guees it was working pretty well :)

For Parts like this I use JoeBobs being as they are just 2 hours away the shipping is pretty inexpensive and if I want it bad enough we just drive up there. I shop at Midway also but the last time I ordered from them the shipping was more than the order and there was no hazmat fee. There shipping used to be a lot more reasonable but I guess they have to pay for their TV shows somehow.

I was trying to get by on the unexpensive for this, I have it in my hands and it is nice compared to some of the mislpec ones I have seen

I am going to sleep on it and decide which AR gets the Spike trigger and which gets the Sport Trigger, FrankenSport or the CyberSport.

CyberSport

Between the two there is one Sport, and my box of left over accesories!! LOL :D

Ok I installed the Spikes trigger in the CyberSport and the S&W trigger in the FrankenSport. Both have the AR DIY trigger spring kit and both are around 3 1/2 lbs of trigger pull. I had polished the S&W trigger along time ago and really like it. It feels so good in the New Frontier Lower, there really is no comparison and I feel better having a metal FCG than the composite. There is no slop or slack and it feels just like it did in the CS. The Spikes Battle Trigger in the CS is a ton slicker than the polished one I took out and with that spring kit it truly is a real nice trigger pull plus you can feel it right before it breaks. I am very happy with the way the both of them turned out. Someday I may get the KNS anti-walk kit for the CS and a Different lower for the other but as it is I have 2 AR's that both make me happy.
