Seems S&W wont sell the M-LOK handguard yet "because it was just released" but will be available in a few months according to CS. If someone knows how to get one from S&W please post up.

Also if anyone has one they removed to install a different handguard I would be interested to purchase it. Please instant message me. Thanks

I'm trying to get myself one of the M&P 15T factory quad free float but I'm not sure if it would be a direct fit. But if I end up finding and replacing I will have my M-Lok slim available.

Please let me know if you want to sell the stock sport hand guard.
Anyone for that matter that has a Sport hand guard take off, please instant message me.

Where are the 15-22 specific classifieds located ?

It won't be a direct fit if the handguard is made for standard 5.56mm barrel nuts.

The 15-22's barrel nut is not similar, but it can be converted rather easily to mimic one. Tacticool22, who is a regular poster here, offers a barrel nut to do so for about $25. Keep in mind, you'll need the 15-22 barrel nut wrench to remove the original barrel nut.

Word to the wise, whenever you are doing work on the barrel, muzzle, barrel nut, hold by the steel barrel, using a non-marring clamp. Do not hold by the plastic upper receiver.

All the uppers are the same. Any 15-22 hand guard will fit any version.
There are of course aluminum aftermarket free float hand guards that fit properly, leave no gap and come in different lengths.

Sir, if you are speaking of your hand guards, they will have about a 1/8" to 3/16" gap unless the indexing tab on the bottom of the receiver is ground off flush. Conversely a slot can be milled in the new handguard to allow clearance for this tab so no modification is necessary to the receiver. That's what I did to achieve a no gap fit. Its an easy modification. I'm not sure why the slot for the tab is not integrated into the design, but nevertheless, it's a really nice upgrade if you don't like the plasticky feel of the original and it does not add a very noticeable amount of weight.
