I had no idea...
Of course I had heard the name Spotify but already had iTunes, an extensive music library of my own and Pandora. Figured there was no need for anything else.
So... the wife buys a new Sony 4K TV and I get to fooling around with the apps, stumble upon Spotify and decided to check it out. WOW. I can have any album(s) or songs I want. I don't know how large their library is but so far there isn't anything I searched that wasn't available and I tried some pretty obscure searches just to test. I think new release music is delayed for a period of time unless you're a paid subscriber. Otherwise, from what I can tell you can have online access and build your own library with about all albums/songs on planet Earth for free. Just a 30 second ad now and then. Pleasantly surprised.
