I have been using a 15x -60x Redfield spotting scope since the early 80s. Redfield makes good items and I would assume they are still making something like that, though now it might say Loupold on it. The scope is quite clear and you can easily tell the difference between .22-.25-.30 and .35 calibers on the paper at a hundred yards and probably farther!
That saves a lot of walking up and back and getting maximum use out of target papers.: D
As I originally bought the scope with a short tripod for setting on the shooting bench, I do much more handgun work than rifle work here is a little trick I use. I found a used camera tripod and mounted the scope on it. I now have a bench top if legs are compacted and a scope that is eye level if I’m standing shooting handgun. I did a lot of 100 yard handgun shooting and the high height scope was a great help.
