Sprinco Recoil Spring Guide Assemblies

Has anyone used Sprinco Recoil Spring Guides in any of the S & W auto pistols? If so, how do they perform in S & W autos in terms of recoil reduction and reliablilty?

These spring guide assemblies, in addition to the recoil spring, have an additional buffer spring incorporated into the spring guide to reduce the recoil.

They are made for many semi-auto pistols including S & W, Browning HP, Sig, CZ, etc.

Save your money, make sure your gun is properly sprung for the load you're using. So much energy in=so much energy out.

I really like S&W factory springs.
Wouldn't use Springco if it were free; seen too many messed up at the range. Competitors won't touch them.

As noted it of course cannot reduce recoil.
I have a Sprinco assembly on a Kimber 1911 in 10MM. It does change the pattern of the recoil. The change is perhaps best described as a super buffer at the end of the slide stroke.
The full power 10mm round moves the slide rapidly. If I put a stiffer spring in it reduces the slam on opening and of course it slams the slide closed.
The 1911 pistol frame may be a bit under designed for 10mm, so I hope to get a few more years from it with the Sprinco.
It does not seem to have changed function at all except as noted. I see no reason for one on my S&W 1006 or 1076.
