Was looking at Gun Garage and noticed K/L SQ butt strain screws are slightly longer than RB screws. I didn't know this plan to order a extra set side plate screws for Model 12-2 and Model 67-1

It's very hard to see, but the front part of the grip frame on a round butt is very slightly different from that of a round butt. The difference in overall length of the strain screws is in the height of the screw head. The square butt screw head is very slightly higher and will slightly stick out of a round butt grip frame. (I think it's fairly obvious how I know this.) OTOH, I expect you can use a round butt strain screw on a square butt without any problem.

Most first notice it when they get the urge to round butt a square but gun.
