Ive seen a fix on here before that just uses tape to fix stock wiggle. I dont want to buy a CTR for that function alone. The search function is not working on my phone, does anyone have a how-to or video on that? Thanks

i bought an MOE stock, the $55 one. I bought it in a Mil Spec tube, and this thing is TIGHT. Like... I dont understand the point of a CTR if they're all this tight

blackhawk sportster. $35 @ Dick's sporting goods.

Tight fitting case, room for 5 mags and and a small side pocket. No room for eyes and ears though. Snugly fits in the trunk of the Z. (A hardcase was way out of the question.)

I just put some electrical tape down the sides of my lower receiver extension, and that tightened up the stock really well. I'm not sure if there is an easier way than that, but it only took me 3 seconds.

I put an MOE on 15-22 for awhile off of another rifle. I like to run my stock fully extended, and in this position it had some annoying wiggle. It was nice and tight when closed at least half way though. I bought a CTR and it fixed my problems. It's nice having the QD socket too, but not worth the extra money for most.

I did fix a little bit of wobble on the MOE for the other rifle though. I single piece of electrical tape on the top of the tube is all it takes. Obviously it needs to be in a spot that gets covered by the stock body when you get it into position. Make sure you only get the tape on the rounded part of the "buffer tube" and not on the track where the lever locks into place.

The thread your talking about used aluminum tape from home depot. It had pictures but the thread was so old they were not hosted anymore. It sounded like a good fix.
