I dropped by my favorite LGS/Range today to engage in some gun powder therapy. As usual I got there at opening time, 1000. As I am a member my sign-in is pretty much zero time. I can sometimes get in and out while a large group of non-members (many total nimrods unfortunately) are still signing in.

In any event I was there about 25 minutes, put 100 rounds total downrange from two different revolvers. I was the only person there the whole time, in either the store or the range. That has NEVER happened before that I recall.

I wonder if the new 11% excise tax is putting a serious ding in retail sales in CA.

I just calculated what that tax would mean to me,,

I would be giving them 5 of these pistols,, EVERY year,,,,,,,,,
just to cover the EXTRA tax that is greater than what I pay tax in VA.

So, if you can afford the tax,, you can afford ammo,,,,,,,,

Another thought on the above post,,

Back in the 1990's VA residents were only allowed to buy
"One Pistol A Month"

That Cali tax is reverse,,
"Give Them One Pistol A Month"

How times change,,,,,,

I wish I could go to the range and be the only person there sometimes. I have too many fools who frequent my spots.
