I have received a few E-Mails from Companies selling Hemp Oil.(Pot)
They claim that it works like Opiods for Pain management and comes in Capsules and Pill and liquid forms.
They claim that the THC has been removed and only the non Psychoactive parts remain.
I am a supporter of alternative Medicines but this seems a bit on the illegal side.Any LEO'S care to offer a opinion?

You can buy purified hemp oil, hemp seeds and many hemp products in heath food stores and general grocery stores now. I believe even Trader Joes carries a hemp seed cereal. Purified products that do not have THC are legal at least in most states. I have never tried any so I do not know if they work or if the food is tasty.

You can but hemp shirts through Duluth Trading. Don't know if I would walk by a police dog, though.

I've gotten some spam mail with those subjects too and its CBD oil made from hemp plants which are not of the marijuana variety that get people high and has no active THC in the plant is what they are selling .. they don't say Marijuana Oil its advertised as Hemp Oil .. the 2 e-mails I got the companies were from somewhere in Europe .. I just deleted them as spam .. I think its suppose to be legal ??

lot of products being made from the fiber .. wife has a purse made from woven hemp and she says its quite sturdy ..

I just Googled Ohio and legal marijuana. Looks like, per news reports, you're legal now, but it is gonna take a few years to figure out how to distribute legally within the state, etc.

Here is a news story I have posted here before on a marijuana topical, a balm, a cream, that you rub on your joints: Cannabis topicals offer alternative to opioids for pain treatmen - KPTV - FOX 12

It does not make you high.

I do know an older man — well, not older than me, but older in general — who has a problem with painful knee joints, perhaps due to simple overweight or to arthritis.

He says the stuff works pretty well for joint pain relief. (I, um, have reason to believe him.)

I haveheard that the THC being removed is true, but......

It's entirely unregulated and it's probably viewed differently in every state and locality. Besides, anybody can get your email and advertise a product. Or your phone number. Or about any information on you that there is.

Would you buy a from an unknown person, a product whose exact nature is unknown and then eat that unknown substance?

If you do that, you must either be crazy or stupid!

Sounds like what is called ditch weed here in Iowa. The story I heard that the federal government promoted hemp growing during WW II for rope production? Then synthetics took over the rope industry.
My county sends out notices to landowners about weed eradication, including hemp every spring, to minimize seeds etc.

I was wondering as I was watching a show where They would put a ounce of Pot in a canning jar and then pour grain alcohol in with it and let it set a while then after They drained it off They cooked the liquid into a oil and then processed the THC out of it and that is what is being claimed to be medicine.
I think it may be the same thing.
