Stubborn old-timer finally learns to buy ammo online

Gordon, I got 3 bricks of CCI mini mags from Midway. I just happened to be on the computer when one of my notifications came in. Got on the Midway site P.D.Q. and ordered it up. 325 rd. "Troy Landry" CCI mini's for $19.95. shipping was $14.95. So, I made out OK. Wally World hasn't had any mini-mags for 2 years now!

I'm not a ballistics (or any other kind of) expert but from my limited experience, regular 22LR shot out of a 4-1/2" or shorter barrel stays subsonic - or seems to in my 22's with a Sparrow SS can. My experience with true subsonic 22LR is that it is expensive and does not cycle my actions reliably. JMHO, of course.
