.....doesn't happen very often, and certainly not to me. But I'll take it when I can get it! ;) I was born under a ****-sign of luck. I've struggled my whole life to remove the heel of the boot of oppression from the back of my neck. I have had some brief periods of relief but they have been few and far between. It might have been a good idea to go buy a lottery ticket today.....

Check THIS OUT:

Yesterday afternoon there came a knock at my door. It was Fed-Ex. The guy had two packages. One was expected, a pair of shoes and a couple of articles of clothing. The other was about the size of a bicycle un-assembled and VERY heavy...and it was NOT expected. On the outside it had one label and the only name or information on it was for Miss Pam. There was no packing slip or any other paper work inside. It contained the following:
. Two 3.5 lb bulk packages of artificial sweetener
. One large jar of Vlasic jalapeno dill pickles
. Numerous packages of assorted Puddings, jello and fruit.
. 2 12packs of Yoohoo chocolate drink in cans
. Numerous packages of toaster pastries in assorted fruit flavors
. One large package of Frito Twists
. And last but certainly not least, a box containing a set of 3 pre-seasoned cast iron skillets: one 6.3", one 8", and one 10".

All this was shipped from WalMart on line. Miss Pam got into an email chat with them and since all the order numbers and tracking numbers and account numbers and all other information on the label were hers there is no way to determine who paid for it or shipped it or who the intended recipient might be.

We were not charged for it and won't be charged for it. The WalMart rep said that we should enjoy our windfall...case closed.

I feel like we haven't heard the last of it because when who ever DID order it and paid for it doesn't receive it they're gonna squawk. I know I would. But we were told not to worry about it that is was due to a WalMart error and not out problem.

I don't care much for the pickles or artificial sweetener, but the yoohoo and other stuff will be enjoyable. And I love cast iron cook ware.

I'm only hoping that I haven't used up all my good luck for the next 10 years...

Pretty good deal. I would take an ice cold yoo-hoo anytime. I would like to get a deal like that on a few pounds of gold.

A. you did the right thing by contacting WM to let them know so they could reclaim the items.

B. WM did a nice thing by letting you keep the items, probably figuring that it was not worth the hassle of reclaiming the items and re-stocking them. Goodwill generated as well.

Win-win all around.

I must say the Walmart rep deserves a raise as this will generate a lot of good will as you tell people about this also kudos to you for calling them and trying to do the right thing yourself and on tne subject of tne right thing it is better to give than reciever I hear so how bout a yoo-hoo for your new best friend.

If you think and believe you are lucky,
or if you think and believe you are un-lucky,
either way you are correct.

I choose to believe that I am lucky,
and I am.

Sounds like snack tiime supplys for the ladies of "The View".

Early in July I ordered a window unit A.C.er from Wally online. Five days later UPS dumped a big box (almost on the fly) at my place. Opened the huge plain brown cardboard box and there was a rolled up mattress in it. Fedx picked up the mattress 5 days later and dropped off the wrong size A.C.er.

I'm thinking one of two things:

1. Somebody stole her info & ordered the stuff, but forgot to change the ship to address.

2. It's a gift for you from someone who wants to remain anonymous, at least for the nonce.

It does seem bizarre that Walmart can't look up who paid for it. You say "the account numbers" were hers, what account is that?

I wasn't quite sure so I asked Miss Pam and she thinks it is her account number with WalMart On Line. it is definitely not an account number associated with any credit card. I'm glad you asked that question. It is good to know as much about this situation as possible.

I have to wonder who would order all the food-related items from WM for shipment when one could easily buy them at the nearest local supermarket for likely much less.
