.....doesn't happen very often, and certainly not to me. But I'll take it when I can get it!
I was born under a ****-sign of luck. I've struggled my whole life to remove the heel of the boot of oppression from the back of my neck. I have had some brief periods of relief but they have been few and far between. It might have been a good idea to go buy a lottery ticket today.....
Check THIS OUT:
Yesterday afternoon there came a knock at my door. It was Fed-Ex. The guy had two packages. One was expected, a pair of shoes and a couple of articles of clothing. The other was about the size of a bicycle un-assembled and VERY heavy...and it was NOT expected. On the outside it had one label and the only name or information on it was for Miss Pam. There was no packing slip or any other paper work inside. It contained the following:
. Two 3.5 lb bulk packages of artificial sweetener
. One large jar of Vlasic jalapeno dill pickles
. Numerous packages of assorted Puddings, jello and fruit.
. 2 12packs of Yoohoo chocolate drink in cans
. Numerous packages of toaster pastries in assorted fruit flavors
. One large package of Frito Twists
. And last but certainly not least, a box containing a set of 3 pre-seasoned cast iron skillets: one 6.3", one 8", and one 10".
All this was shipped from WalMart on line. Miss Pam got into an email chat with them and since all the order numbers and tracking numbers and account numbers and all other information on the label were hers there is no way to determine who paid for it or shipped it or who the intended recipient might be.
We were not charged for it and won't be charged for it. The WalMart rep said that we should enjoy our windfall...case closed.
I feel like we haven't heard the last of it because when who ever DID order it and paid for it doesn't receive it they're gonna squawk. I know I would. But we were told not to worry about it that is was due to a WalMart error and not out problem.
I don't care much for the pickles or artificial sweetener, but the yoohoo and other stuff will be enjoyable. And I love cast iron cook ware.
I'm only hoping that I haven't used up all my good luck for the next 10 years...
