A "friend" called me the other day...had some stuff to sell. Like I need more stuff! But he had 400 lbs of cast lead bullets...Wanted a dollar a pound
. Just had to go take a look. He had spent a lot of time bagging them up as the boxes were trashed. Had an assortment of the darn things. About 800 bullets for the 32-20 even. Well I bought the things but got a lot more than 400 lbs. Got about 90 pounds of bullets that had lost their lube and beat up a bit and 130 pounds of 7 1/2 and 8 shot. The rest of the bullets were put in plastic sealing bags and then put in 8 ammo cans . So now I have enough bullets to actually load some 9mm . The preponderance were 38s, 44s and 45 Colt bullets. Paid 300 bucks and 4 sets of Lee rifle dies. For another 20 bucks I got 5 lb of Accurate powder too. One has a recall on it so I'll get more than the 20 bucks just for it. Got to love it when a plan comes together. The other powders were 2 pounds of No 5, 1 of 2230 and a can of 5744. From another fellow I got a couple of Mec shotshell loaders for 90 bucks...One was an as new Sizemaster in 28 ga and the other was a Mark V 600 in 3 inch 410... The Sizemaster had some shot and a near full bottle of Universal clays in it. Also got a couple thousand 209 shot shell primers for 25 bucks. He also gave me a partial box of CCI 157 primers for free:confused: Any body find a use for them any more??

Sounds like a nice deal. BTW, on the recalled Accurate powder, they gave me $35 for a recalled can of 4350 I had bought some time ago. More than enough compensation for it and they sent the check quickly too.

I checked the Accurate site and the lot number is on the list. Didn't know how much they refund you...but that sounds great. I have to check..I have some 4350 around here too...maybe it is on the recall list!

As far as having a 28 ga...I have a few. Probably 10 or more. The one I really like to shoot is an old Winchester M-12 28 skeet gun. Wish I could shoot it better. Still wondering if anyone has found a use for the old 57 size primers though
