I am trying to ID the model and year of manufacture of a 38. On the butt it has a V followed by the number 482230. Right side barrel 38 S&W CTG, just below the cylinder Made in the USA. Left side of front sight is stamped Parker Hala and under that is England. On the right side of barrel Smith and Wesson. Under the extractor on the bottom of the barrel is has the serial number, along with 38" 767", and what looks like a small crown with BNP, also is says 3 1/2 Tons. One the yoke simply an M and the number 40100. I have looked in the Standard Catalog and am stumped. Any info would be great.

It's been plated. If an old refinish, nickel or chrome. If more recent, possibly electro less nickel or hard chrome. Or, somebody stripped all the finish off and it's bare steel.

Sgt127 is correct, only blued finish on the K-200 revolvers. It has an aftermarket finish on it otherwise. These revolvers were imported back to the U.S. by the thousands in the 50's. Enterprising individuals sold these with stag stocks, shortened barrels, different finishes to make them more appealing. Post a couple of pic's.
