Just picked up my new browning and it's got that stupid yellow sticker on the bottom of the barrel. The gun is a piece of art and it doesn't need an ugly "bumper sticker" on it. Anyone know how to get it off without messing up the finish

Just bought a new Winchester X3, it also had a huge sticker on the barrel, it was no trouble to remove: I shot it until barrel was warm and it peeled right off.

I can't believe there aren't instructions with the gun stating the method they recommend to remove that sticker. If not, call Browning because they surely get that question a lot.

I like DWinter's suggestion also.

My first thought would be Goo Gone as it's citrus based.

Try a little on the magazine or under a grip or something first in case it marrs the finish.

just peel it off, and apply Vaseline or lighter fluid to any leftover residue. rub it for awhile, until it's all gone.
