Can’t compete very well with the above but now that we’re laundry listing the “fun” guns……Been around long enough to have fired and/or trained with and/or trained people on:
Thompson M1928
Reising M50
Beretta M12
SW M76
HK MP5 (K, A2, A3, Navy, SD)
Best of them all was the MP5 which I used in SWAT ops.
A high-school friend of mine, Kent Thomas....flew helicopters for Air America....I believe in Cambodia/Thailand. And later on for some No-Name Gov't Agency, in Borneo.Did someone mention Air America?
I have couple friends who flew for AA after VN. I don't know Kent but there is a Kent R. Thomas listed in the VHPA directory from San Pedro, CA. He was a couple classes behind me in flight school. No unit listed. The Air America section shows a R.D. Thomas. I know of one other AA guy who is not listed the that section but he was in the very upper echelon of the company. I got the hat shown from him. He showed me a complete world wide roster of AA pilots but unfortunately I did not end up with it. It is possible Kent flew in Cambodia, as I did for 5th SFG/MACVSOG before the invasion and flew for the company outside SEA later. In that case he would not be listed in the VN section for AA.A high-school friend of mine, Kent Thomas....flew helicopters for Air America....I believe in Cambodia/Thailand.
