I have recently acquired a NIB 1968 model 60, 2". I ready to start carrying it, OWB, 1 3/4" belt. Any good suggestions on which holster?

i have a Kramer horsehide MSP paddle holster for a 3in model 60 if your interested. perfect condition. maybe a inch too long but i carry my 2.125in and 3in model 60's n the same holsters

I don't carry OWB but I'm a fan of Side Guard Holsters' work. They offer a few types of OWB holsters. I consider their holsters to be an excellent value. I use their Quick Clip IWB holster for my 642 pretty much every day I carry.

Anyone have experience with Bianchi Model 5BHL Thumbsnap Suede Lined Belt Holster? One of the reviews said the quality isn't there anymore...

You might want to consider a cross-draw for your 60. My brother wears one and swears by it.

Hard to go wrong with a Lobo holster. The enhanced pancake model he made for a short barrel K frame carries the gun so well that I've ordered another one for a J frame. Can't hardly wait . . .

I'd second the motion for the Lobo Gun Leather enhanced pancake. I carry my Shield in one and it is excellent. There are lots of options, everyone makes pancakes for a good reason, but you won't go wrong with Lobo.

Pancake. Everybody makes one, pick your specific flavor. I am a purist in regards to the exact ride and angle for use with K Frames and real sized pistols generally , but with a 2in J Frames they will pretty much all work.

Personally I have a cpl Bianchi #8's , but mainly because over the years came across them used. But any leather pancake w/ thumbsnap would also work.

How about Milt Sparks? Or is it possible to find a S/W holster from the same period of time?

I would put in my 2 cents worth and echo the message to take a look at Lobo Gunleather. I have an enhanced pancake and regular pancake for K frames and they pull the revolver in nice and tight.

I also have a few of his SL Pancakes, which use snap loops to attach to the belt, for an airweight J frame, a Glock 26 and my Shield and really like this model for the convenience of slipping on and off as the need arises.

Lots of quality holster makers out there but Mr. Cory has become my go to guy for OWB!

They are a great holster! New models seem about as good as the vintage ones IMO. I have some of each. They are a belt holster, so they do not keep the gun as tight to the body as a pancake.

Here's one that works, everyday, all day.

Small, compact, comfortable, concealable, born to love the J frame revolver.
