Morning All! Another hot and dry Sunday on the high desert of SW Wyoming.
In checking my news feeds this morning, I noted a number of famous and semi-famous births on this date. Not the least of which is: Audie Murphy. Other prominent folks are :John Goodman, Nicole Kidman, Lionel Richie, the recently passed Olympia Dukakis and a bunch more, both living and dead. Included in the group of lesser known folks, born on this date in 1949 is ME. Glad to still be living and shamelessly pandering to my own ego! At 72 I think I fall into the top half of the group, on this board, age wise. Far from the oldest and even farther from the youngest. Been on the Board since 05 but didn't post much until my retirement in 2014. By most standards, I am little more than a "lurker" I post IF I think I can contribute to the thread or if I have something "Profound" (at least in my own mind!) to say. Thanks to all who have contributed to my expanding knowledge base. I have learned about rare S&Ws, bear guns, beer, which is better? 9 or 40 , Bourbon and why I do or don't want to live in several different states of this country and how lucky I am to live in this country compared to some others. Thanks to our "Fearless Leader" , the moderators and to all of the many knowledgeable posters who put up with me. And happy birthday Audie, where ever you are!
